type of grease do I need for my Plant & Equipment?
We are often asked for advice on grease types for particular
applications. Having a good understanding of the characteristics of each grease
ensures that you chose the correct type to ensure that your equipment is properly
protected.
Libra EP2
Grease – BROWN
A
multipurpose Lithium grease.
A premium lithium soap thickened high
melting point grease, EP treated with good anti-corrosion properties.
An excellent multi-purpose
grease. For use in anti-friction and plain bearing applications subjected to
high load conditions.
Libra EP2 is recommended for use
in highly loaded industrial and automotive applications such as wheel
bearings, pump bearings etc. It is suitable for use in high pressure
greasing equipment.
Libra EP2M Grease – BLACK
Thickened
grease for high load and anti-friction applications.
Lithium soap thickened grease
fortified with molybdenum disulphide.
Ideal for use in anti-friction
and plain bearings under high load and boundary conditions.
Libra EP2M is recommended for use in highly loaded industrial and automotive applications. It is suitable for anti-friction and plain bearings under extreme conditions e.g. shock loaded bearings, heavily loaded transmission assembly drives.
Lithium
Multi-Purpose Long Life Grease – RED
Long life
& Anti friction Applications.
A
specially developed multi-purpose lubricating grease for all anti-friction
and plain bearing applications.
This grease has exceptional
stability performance over a wide, elevated temperature range and can allow longer
periods between re-lubrication compared with standard greases.
Lithium Complex is recommended for use in highly loaded industrial and automotive applications such as wheel bearings, pump bearings etc. It has been primarily designed as a wheel bearing and chassis grease. It is suitable for use in high pressure greasing equipment.
Lithium
Complex Grease – BLUE
Multi
purpose & High Temperature applications.
A specially developed multi-purpose
lubricating grease for all anti-friction and plain bearing applications. This
grease has exceptional stability performance over a wide, elevated
temperature range and can allow longer periods between re-lubrication
compared with standard greases.
Blue Lithium Complex is
recommended for use in highly loaded industrial and automotive applications
such as wheel bearings, pump bearings etc. It has been primarily
designed as a wheel bearing and chassis grease.
Distances of up to 70,000 miles
between re-lubrication are possible with Lithium Complex. It may replace
ordinary lithium greases in many arduous industrial applications. It is
suitable for use in high pressure greasing equipment.
Hammer
Grease – GREY/BLACK
Suitable
For High temperature and high impact applications requiring good adhesion.
Hammer Grease is specially
developed using a blend of polymer and base oils manufactured with a high
temperature thickener containing a high level of graphite to extend
lubrication periods. It is designed particularly for hydraulic hammer
lubrication, pin and bush type of applications, on large earth
moving and general off-road heavy plant machinery.
Hammer Grease is enhanced by the
addition of laminar lubricating solids, and its adhesive properties resist
water wash off. This product has also found use in the lubrication of open
gears.
